Police Arrest One in Butler Street Homicide and Aggravated Assault

 Just after 3 a.m., police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Butler Street for reports of a shooting incident.

A short time later, two male gunshot victims arrived at a nearby hospital by private means. One male, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in the torso. He arrived in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased. 

A second male in his 30s was in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Violent Crime Unit detectives later arrested Randell Tate, 22, of Pittsburgh. Tate is charged with Criminal Homicide and Aggravated Assault.
