At approximately 1:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 5 officers responded to the 7200 block of Frankstown Avenue for a single ShotSpotter alert totaling six-rounds.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts to render aid, he was pronounced deceased on scene.
Officers and homicide detectives are reviewing all camera footage in the area and identifying any possible witnesses. The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
