Pittsburgh Police Zone 2 Respond to Stabbing in Middle Hill

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police zone 2 officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Reed Street for a reported stabbing.

Preliminary information indicates that an adult male suspect stabbed an adult male victim multiple times, in the torso and also the hand, inside a residence before fleeing the scene on foot.

Pittsburgh EMS transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.

Pittsburgh police are leading an active search for the suspect, who is believed to be known to the victim. The Real Time Crime Center is reviewing all CCTV footage in the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
