Following a lengthy investigation, Pittsburgh Police plainclothes detectives from Zone 1 have secured an arrest warrant for Vincent "Gary" Jones.

Jones is charged with two felony counts—theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property—in connection with the unauthorized purchases of more than $102,000 worth of food for Little Sisters of the Poor, located at 1028 Benton Avenue.

Jones was employed by the organization and was primarily responsible for ordering food for the nursing home/assisted living facility. It is alleged that over a nearly two-year period, he included expensive steaks and seafood as part of the facility's regular orders. This food was never included on the residents’ menu nor served to those receiving meals at the facility.

The suspicious invoices were discovered by other staff from the facility and subsequently reported to the police on August 1, 2025.

Jones was arrested on February 11 and released on his own recognizance to appear at a later date.
