At approximately 8:00 a.m., the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire responded to a one-alarm residential structure fire on E Cherryhill Street at the intersection of Alries Street in the Carrick neighborhood.
The structure was fully involved upon the crew's arrival but the fire has since been extinguished. No occupants were inside the residence at the time of the incident.
One firefighter was evaluated on scene for exhaustion and has been released.
The Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI) has been notified.
As a precautionary measure, a fire watch has been established in the area. An investigation into the cause is ongoing.
