Just after 1 a.m., Pittsburgh Fire was dispatched to the 2300 block of Salisbury Street for a reported residential structure fire.
Arriving units located a fire inside a wall on the first floor that had extended to the second floor. The fire was extinguished quickly, and the house sustained moderate damage.
Two adults and five children were assessed on-scene by Pittsburgh Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS, but no one required transport to the hospital. Fire Investigation Unit detectives have determined the cause is likely accidental.
The Red Cross was notified to assist the displaced residents with temporary accommodations and any other emergency needs.
