UPDATE: Police Investigate Domestic-Related Shooting in Sheraden

UPDATE: Diante Sherrill, 42, of New Brighton (the adult male with the gunshot wound) is facing charges of simple assault in relation to this incident.

At approximately 12:45 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 6 were dispatched to the 2700 block of Bergman Street for a reported domestic altercation followed by a shooting.

Arriving officers located an adult male with a single gunshot wound to his right thigh. He was alert and speaking with officers and medics. The male was transported to an area hospital in stable condition by Pittsburgh EMS.

An adult female was located at the scene and was transported to Police Headquarters for questioning.

The Mobile Crime Unit arrived to process the scene, including a recovered shell casing.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
