Just before 9:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3, Pittsburgh EMS, and Pittsburgh Fire were dispatched to S. 17th Street and E. Carson St. for a reported female down on the sidewalk who was bleeding from her face.
The victim told arriving officers that she went to the actor’s residence prior to the actor assaulting the victim. The victim sustained multiple facial fractures and a laceration over her eye. She was transported by Pittsburgh EMS in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable.
A crime scene was located where the victim indicated. The actor was also present when officers arrived at the residence.
The actor, Sevyn Monroe, 33, of Pittsburgh is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault and robbery, as well as several misdemeanor charges.
