UPDATE: Pittsburgh Police Investigate Shooting In Homewood North

UPDATE: Walter Ferguson, 37, of Pittsburgh, faces multiple charges in connection with this incident.

These include criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, persons not to possess/use/manufacture/control firearms, carrying a firearm without a license, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, recklessly endangering another person, accident involving damage to an attended vehicle, driving without a valid license, and reckless driving.

He remains in the Allegheny County Jail.

At approximately 10:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 7000 block of Upland Street for a single ShotSpotter alert totaling ten rounds.

Witnesses reported to officers that a dispute began between two men outside. The actor fired multiple shots, striking the victim once in the arm, before fleeing in a vehicle.

Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.

The actor collided with a vehicle at the intersection of North Braddock Avenue and Hamilton Avenue, causing minor damage. He fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers following a brief pursuit. Charges are forthcoming. No additional injuries were reported.

The Mobile Crime Unit processed the scene on Upland Street and recovered several spent shell casings. Additionally, a firearm was recovered in the actor's vehicle.

VCU  detectives are investigating.
