At approximately 5:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were dispatched for a two-round ShotSpotter alert near the intersection of Woods Run Avenue and Brighton Road in the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood.
A short time later, an adult male victim arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds; including to his arm, shoulder, and leg. He was listed in stable condition.
The initial investigation indicates the victim was involved in an altercation before the shooting took place.
Officers located a crime scene near the location of the ShotSpotter alert.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process evidence.
There are no arrests at this time. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
