Just before 2:30 a.m., a 27-year-old male arrived at Magee-Women’s Hospital by private vehicle with a single gunshot wound to the hip. The victim was then transported in stable condition to another local hospital and taken directly into surgery. He remains in stable condition.
Witnesses later confirmed the victim sustained his injury during an altercation that took place at a nightclub in the 800 block of Brookline Boulevard in the city’s Brookline neighborhood.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed the vehicle the victim used to arrive at the hospital.
Detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
