Police Investigate After Child Found Alone Outside Overnight

Just before 4:30 a.m., Pittsburgh Police received a call regarding a young child spotted walking alone outside in sandals in the 900 block of Woodlow Street.

A man on his way to work spotted the child and placed her in his vehicle to keep her warm until officers arrived. 

Medic 3 transported her to Children's Hospital in stable condition where she was evaluated by doctors and placed in the custody of CYF. The child is estimated to be 3-4 years of age.

The investigation is ongoing.
