Just before 8:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were dispatched to the 400 block of Mount Pleasant Road in the Northview Heights neighborhood for reports of a shooting.
Officers arrived to the scene and located an adult male who had sustained a grazing gunshot wound to the leg. The male refused to be evaluated, treated, or transported by Pittsburgh EMS.
The male stated to officers that he was confronted by a group of males near his residence before an altercation took place, resulting in him being shot.
The group of males then fled in a vehicle headed towards Penfort Street.
A short time later, an adult male arrived by private vehicle at an area hospital with a laceration to his face.
At this time, it is unconfirmed if the incidents are related, but detectives are investigating as such.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process all evidence.
The investigation is ongoing.
