Police Secure Arrest Warrant Male With a Knife Making Threats Toward P

Summary:

Just before 8 a.m., Pittsburgh Police were called to Penn and 10th St. for some type of dispute.

Once on scene, a bicycle officer witnessed a known male running after another male and threatening to kill him.

The officer observed that the suspect was carrying a small carabiner knife and took him to the ground to take him into custody.

The victim continued running away from the scene and did not return.

Officers identified the suspect and seized the knife. Without victim information to prosecute for the crime committed, police were required to release the suspect in order to investigate further.

Police later learned that there was a second victim from this incident and spent several hours thoroughly searching for both individuals. They were able to track them down through the initial call and take their statements in order to secure an arrest warrant.

A warrant has been issued for Clarence Thomas, 42, who faces two misdemeanor counts of Terroristic Threats, one count of Possessing Instruments of Crime, and Simple Assault.
