At approximately 12:40 p.m., first responders were called to the train tracks on 9th St. behind Mercy Behavioral for reports of a male struck by a train.
Police, Fire, and EMS located a male with a significant laceration to his head.
The early investigation suggests the man was trying to beat the train and cross the tracks when he was clipped by the train.
Medic 7 transported him to the hospital in critical condition.
