Police Make Arrests and Citations on South Side for St. Pat’s Weekend

From March 13 through March 17, 2024, the South Side Entertainment Patrol was fully staffed and ready for the busy St. Patrick's Day weekend.

These are the total number of arrests and citations made by all officers working on the South Side over those four days, including any arrests made by Narcotics and Vice and Violence Prevention Unit detectives who assisted on March 16:

Traffic stops: 14
Traffic citations: 6
Parking citations: 44
Tows: 14
Non-traffic citations: 47
Arrests: 7
Firearms recovered: 5

The majority of the non-traffic citations were issued for public intoxication, open container, public urination, and smoking marijuana in public.

Thank you to all of the officers for the long hours worked to ensure Pittsburgh residents and visitors could safely celebrate this St. Patrick's Day weekend.
