Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Responds for Two-Alarm Fire in Arlington

Summary:

Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of Rinne Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. for reports of a residential structure fire. The response grew to two alarms.

A female resident in her 70s was able to escape with non-life-threatening burn injuries to her arm. She was transported by medics in stable condition to the hospital.

A second occupant was not at home at the time of the fire, although there were four dogs inside and one of the dogs was deceased at the scene.

The neighboring structure was exposed to the fire and both homes received extensive damage. The American Red Cross has been contacted to assist residents of both homes with emergency shelter and services.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
