EMS Locates Injured Adult in Frick Park

At approximately 8 a.m., Pittsburgh EMS Medic 1 was dispatched to Frick Park to treat an 85-year-old man who had fallen on one of the trails. Additional units, 501, 502, Rescue 1, Unit 21 and the Park Rangers responded as well.

Crews located the patient about a quarter of a mile into the park along the Clayton Hill trail with a hip injury. The patient's injuries were treated on site before he was moved via all-terrain vehicle to the EMS Medic Unit at the Frick Park Nature Center off Beechwood Drive.

The patient was then transported to the hospital in stable condition.
