Winter Holiday City Services Announcement

Pittsburgh, PA - City of Pittsburgh Offices and CitiParks facilities will be closed, and refuse collections will be postponed on Thursday, December 25^th and on Thursday, January 1^st in observance of the Winter Holidays.

The Department of Public Works advises that refuse, bulk waste, and recycling collections on Thursday, December 25^thand on Thursday, January 1^st will be delayed one day.

Individuals who have a scheduled collection of Thursday, will be serviced on Friday. Those usually serviced Friday will be serviced Saturday. Residents are encouraged to place their refuse out for collection after 6 PM the night before their collection day as usual. Those with questions concerning collection may contact the Bureau of Environmental Services at (412) 255-2780.

CitiParks Facilities with adjusted schedules are as follows:

HEALTHY ACTIVE LIVING CENTERS
- CLOSED—Thursday, December 25, 2025 and Thursday, January 1, 2026
- Regular operations resume on Friday, January 2, 2026

RECREATION CENTERS
- CLOSED—Thursday, December 25, 2025 and Thursday, January 1, 2026
- On 12/22, 12/23, 12/24, 12/26, 12/29, 12/30, 12/31 and 1/02, the centers will be operating on hours of 10AM-6PM
- Regular operations resume on Saturday, January 3, 2026

AFTER-SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM
- CLOSED—Tuesday, December 23, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026
- Regular operations resume on Monday, January 5, 2026

MELLON PARK TENNIS CENTER
- CLOSED—Starting at 1 PM on Wednesday, December 24 through Thursday, December 25 and Wednesday, December 31, 2025 through Thursday, January 1, 2026.
- Regular operations resume on Friday, January 2, 2026

SCHENLEY PARK SKATING RINK
- CLOSED—Thursday, December 25, 2025
- One session ONLY (1:30 PM – 3 PM) - Wednesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
- Regular operations resume on Friday, January 1, 2026
