        CITIPARKS TO OPEN 6 COOLING CENTERS JUNE 22-25 AMID FORECASTED HEATWAVE 
Pittsburgh, PA – In response to forecasted temperatures expected to exceed 90 degrees for several days. CitiParks will activate six Healthy Active Living Centers as Cooling Centers on Sunday, June 22 through Wednesday, June 25, 2025 . 
These six centers will provide residents with a safe, air-conditioned environment to escape the heat: 
- Sunday, June 22: Open from 12PM to 6PM 
 
- Monday, June 23 – Wednesday, June 25: Open from 8AM to 7PM

All residents are encouraged to take precautions during periods of extreme heat, especially older adults, young children, and those with underlying health conditions. 
Note: CitiParks and the City of Pittsburgh will typically activate cooling centers when the forecasted highs are predicted to be above 90 degrees.
