Pittsburgh's Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) offers one-on-one, professional financial counseling as a free public service. The FEC helps clients take control of their debt, deal with debt collectors, improve their credit, create a budget, save, connect to safe and affordable financial products, and much more!
About: In the fall of 2017, the City of Pittsburgh began working with Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund to explore the creation of a Financial Empowerment Center for Pittsburghers. Since then the City partnered with Neighborhood Allies to reach out to experts and client serving organizations all over town and work together to figure out how to best implement this valuable tool. After garnering dozens of partners all across town who will host financial counselors, refer clients to counseling, and even include financial counseling in their service provision to their clients, and selecting Advantage Credit Counseling as the operator of the service, the City is pleased to announce the City of Pittsburgh Financial Empowerment Center!
