Public Relations Committee
The Propel Pittsburgh Commission’s Public Relations Committee works to communicate the Commission’s activities, goals and focus to Pittsburgh’s residents. The PR Committee focuses its communication efforts -which include public speaking events, email correspondence and social media -on young adults who reside in the City of Pittsburgh. Additionally, the PR Committee responds to public and media inquiries regarding the Commission and its activities.
The mission of the Propel Pittsburgh Commission's Diversity Committee is to increase cultural and ethnic awareness to foster Pittsburgh’s cohesive, inclusive community. The Diversity Committee seeks to provide a means for the City’s diverse neighborhoods and ethnic groups to voice their concerns and needs. The committee works to connect resources and people to each other, provide policy recommendations, and undertake direct service projects to enrich the diversity of our community.
Collegiate and Young Professional Committee
The Propel Pittsburgh Commission's Collegiate and Young Professional Committee aims to promote the advancement of young adults in Pittsburgh through networking and partnership opportunities. The Committee works to engage young Pittsburgh residents through events, fundraising, outreach activities and social media.
The goal of the Propel Pittsburgh Environmental Committee is to reflect the passion and concern that young adults have for issues that affect both the natural and built environment. The Committee aims to engage existing organizations, develop new policies and promote effective programs to advance the sustainability of the City's buildings, businesses and urban form. Through access to civic leaders, the Committee strives to help the City and all residents, prosper in a clean and healthy environment.
The Transportation Committee works to provide policy makers with recommendations for addressing and improving the transportation needs of young Pittsburgh residents. The committee seeks to advocate for 21st century solutions for Pittsburgh’s young adults and students while encouraging government leaders to create impactful and sustainable solutions to our City’s transportation needs.
