In March 2011, Mayor Ravenstahl launched the Mayor’s Mentoring Initiative in collaboration with the United Way's “Be a 6th Grade Mentor” program. The initiative encourages City employees to become mentors and provides leave time each week so they can meet with their mentees. Since then, nearly 60 employees have signed up to be a mentor!
