City Begins Next Phase of Snow Removal

(PITTSBURGH) Feb. 17, 2010 - City Public Works Crews tonight and throughout the week will be focusing their efforts on widening primary roads and hauling snow piles from the city’s neighborhood business districts.

In addition to plowing and salting when winter weather calls, City Public Works Director Rob Kaczorowski said that crews will be aided with 12 pieces of equipment from contractors.

“We’re trying hard to get everything back to normal, and you will see us working in business districts throughout the week,” Kaczorowski said.

Crews may be spotted on the following streets beginning at 10 p.m. this evening: Penn Avenue; Liberty Avenue; Butler Avenue; Murray Avenue; Forbes Avenue.
