(PITTSBURGH) October 17, 2012 Mayor Luke Ravenstahl reminds residents that the City of Pittsburgh’s official Halloween trick-or-treating hours are on Wed., Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to visit the City’s user-friendly website to download a printable Halloween safety guide which includes activity sheets for children and a safety message from the Mayor and Police Chief Harper. “While Halloween is a fun, festive time in Pittsburgh, it’s important that our children stay safe,” Ravenstahl said. “Our Halloween safety guide includes helpful and interactive information that will teach young people the importance of trick-or-treating safety." Community groups or churches holding Halloween activities may register their event on the City’s webpage. Upon registering, groups will receive copies of the Halloween safety guide along with special recognition from Mayor Ravenstahl. These resources provide a fun, interactive way for children to learn about the importance of trick-or-treating safety.
