City of Pittsburgh Council District 6
Councilman Lavelle invites you to a community "PLAY DAY" on Saturday, April 16th!
Councilman Lavelle creates new partnership between CitiParks and the Junior League of Pittsburgh

Greetings,

I am honored to invite you to our "Play Day" at Robert E. Williams Park in the Hill District on Saturday, April 16, 2011.  This community day will be filled with exciting games for kids, free food, a D.J., as well as basketball skills contests and 3-on-3 tournament.  I am looking forward to working with CitiParks and the Junior League of Pittsburgh, who are partnering on this community event to encourage children, and families to go back outside and have "old fashioned" playtime.  In particular, the Junior League of Pittsburgh will be cleaning, mulching, and rejuvenating Robert E. Williams Park as part of their partnership with my office and CitiParks.

If you know of any youth in the City of Pittsburgh between the ages of 10-20 years old that would be interested in the "Basketball Shoot Out", please click here to find out how they can further participate in our community event.  This day is poised to rejuvenate Robert E. Williams Park on the corner of Adelaide and Milwaukee Streets in the Upper Hill District, and you can find out more on the entire day by clicking here.  I thank you for your time and attention, and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 16, 2011 in the Hill District.

Thank you,

R. Daniel Lavelle
