This year, Jordan Tax Service, Inc. (JTS) was selected to by Allegheny County to collect the Earned Income Tax for the Allegheny County Central Tax Collection District. The 2011 PGH-40 form was sent in the mail along with a PIN number, but it is also available on the Jordan Tax Service website here. The website also provides instructions on filling out the forms, which can be found here. If you need assistance in filling out your PGH-40 Income Tax Return by April 17th, you may qualify for free services. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (V.I.T.A.) is a free IRS program for the elderly, disabled, and those with low to moderate income (under $50,000 according to the IRS website but each site has different qualifications).
