DOLLAR BANK JUNIOR GREAT RACE SET FOR SEPTEMBER 17

Junior Great Racers will run, trot and crawl at this family friendly event in Point State Park.  Festivities will include medals, mascots, entertainment, refreshments and much more.

Spread a blanket under the stars and enjoy an evening of Cinema in the Park.  The free film series features 90+ screenings throughout the summer at a variety of park locations.

Discover Pittsburgh from a new vantage point as you take to the streets for a community footrace.  Registration is open for the Run Around the Square 5K (Aug. 27) and The Great Race 5K & 10K (Sept. 25).

Mark your calendar for the 21st running of the “Dollar Bank Junior Great Race” on Saturday, September 17, in Point State Park.  Youngsters will run, trot and crawl before receiving medals.  Register your kids today!

Whether you are an experienced dancer or just want to learn some new moves, step out to an area park for Citiparks' ever-popular Summer Soul Line Dancing. Instructor Roland Ford incorporates R&B music in free classes that begin with basic steps and finish with more advanced moves.

Citiparks’ six free spray parks are open daily (weather permitting).  Let your imagination run wild as movement sensors cause sprayers to magically turn on and off in this three-dimensional world of water.  Operating 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. are Beechview, Mellon and Troy Hill.  Operating Noon – 7 p.m. are Burgwin, East Hills and Warrington.
